The little-known northern half of Baja California is considered Baja's Outback and is characterized by a rough beauty. The area of ​​the central desert is very scarcely populated; high plains with salt lakes alternate with cacti filled desert, large granite rock gardens, agave slopes and rugged mountains - making the landscape unique and diverse. In addition to the various landscapes, the focus is on gray whales, which you can approach by boat in their two main mating and birth lagoons. Both lagoons have been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. A contrast is the valley of Guadalupe with its Mediterranean cultural landscape, which hosts Mexico's most prestigious wine-growing region. The itinerary of this 8-day journey covers the entire northern half of the peninsula from Tijuana to San Ignacio. The tour only operates during the whale watching season with at least 2 participants. The itinerary starts and ends in Tijuana.
